Week 7 has come and gone. We wrapped-up our addition and subtraction units and had way too much fun learning different ways to + and - . We even used our adding and subtracting skills in make-believe restaurant and shopping situations! Next week we'll move into measurement. The first benchmark test is creeping up a week from Tuesday so get ready to really hit the math hard this week.

In writing we're in the process of finishing our first opinion paper. It took us a while to get the hang of it but I think the papers are going to turn out really great. Next week we'll be learning about trickster tales and if we have time we'll write trickster tales of our own.

Just a reminder... parent teacher conferences are in a week and a half! If none of the scheduled times work for you please let me know and we'll set up a time to meet before or after school another day.
